Terry Winters, Chairman

Terry Winters

In addition to his role as Chairman of Converge International, Terry is Chairman of Opportunity International network Inc, Australian Home Care Services, Netcomm Limited and immediate past Chairman of Multiple Sclerosis Ltd. He is also a director of Commander Communications Limited, Future Fibre Technologies Pty Ltd and Aerospace Engineering Services Pty Ltd. Terry founded Link Telecommunications Pty Ltd in Australia in 1982 and led the creation of Optus Communications from 1989-1992 where he was on the Optus Board until 1995.

Russell Bricknell, BSc, DipEd, MBA, DipAICD, FAIM

Russel Bricknell

Russell is the Executive Director of Churches of Christ Care Queensland and a board member of PeakCare. Russel led PeakCare through a major organisational and strategic review, establishing the organisation as a leader in aged care, early childhood services, foster care and welfare services. From his beginnings as a secondary school teacher, Russell moved into human resource management, financial management training and consulting where he has gained extensive experience in organisational repositioning, business strategy and change management.

Nicholas Barclay, BEng

Nicholas Barclay

Nicholas is the Lead Consultant of Customer Connections with SP AusNet, based in Melbourne, a predominantly commercial role that draws on his engineering background. Nicholas spent six years as a board member of ITIM Central, Wellington NZ, and represented our New Zealand colleagues on the ITIM Australia Board for a further two years, prior to his appointment to the ITIM Australia Board in November 2006.

Michael Delaney, Catholic Priest of the Archdiocese of Hobart

Michael Delaney

Michael provides Converge International with a wealth of knowledge and experience and has worked with us as a Chaplain with Tasmania Police Service (1978-1988), Tasmanian Fire Services (1985) and Humes Concrete (1990-1994). He has been a member – with two terms as President – of the Tasmanian Council of Churches since 1988 and currently represents the Catholic Church on The Christian World Service Commission of the National Council of Churches of Australia. Michael has also served as a Reserve Chaplain in the RAN since 1983 and served as Chaplain on HMAS Darwin in the Arabian Gulf in 2005.

Trevor S Harvey, Chair: Governance & Audit Committee, GradDipBus., BE (Hons), MIEAust, CP Eng., GAICD

Trevor Harvey

Trevor is currently Manager of Power Procurement with Synergy in Perth, Western Australia. He has also held previous roles in commercial and engineering project management, human resource management and operations management and has nine years of experience as a Director within a not-for-profit company. Trevor has a lifetime commitment to personal Christian faith and has been involved in local church leadership, community festival organisation, denominational leadership roles in Baptist Churches of Western Australia, and service in various inter-church organisations. Trevor regularly mentors a child in a local primary school through Kid’s Hope Australia.

Kim Smith, Company Secretary and Chair: Finance & Operations Committee, MA, FCA, CPA

Kim Smith

Kim is well known throughout Australia for his active participation in the accounting profession having served on professional association committees relating to public practice, education and legislative review. His experience is mainly in the areas of not-for-profit audit, taxation and consulting services. Kim has been a councillor of the Victorian Division of CPA Australia, and its Public Practice and National Taxation Specialisation Committees. He has been closely involved with the Australian Accounting Standards Board (AASB) in the development of not-for-profit accounting and auditing standards in Australia. He is currently the not-for-profit representative on the AASB’s Consultative Committee.

Kim currently serves on audit committees and not-for-profit boards and chairs the Australian Not for Profit Network and the national NFP audit practice company Tyndale KSG Pty Ltd. He is a board member of Co-Aid – a consortium which represents over 40 overseas aid organisations including the UK based Charities Aid Foundation. His Christian service includes his membership of the Synod and Archbishop-in-Council of the Anglican Diocese of Melbourne and the Christian Cultural Arts Trust.
