Our Charity

ASCA is a national organisation comprising a growing community of individuals and organisations who share a common mission - to advance the health and wellbeing of people and communities affected by child abuse. ASCA is currently focussed on raising awareness within the community and with health professionals about the needs of adult surviving child abuse, as well as actively advocating to see those needs acknowledged and addressed. ASCA’s long-term strategy is to ensure that all adult survivors of all forms of child abuse and neglect in Australia will be able to access the specific services they need, to ensure health, well-being and meaningful engagement in the communities in which they live. Studies have shown that appropriate programs and therapeutic support can significantly reduce the legacy of childhood trauma and abuse. This is a time for positive outcomes and possibilities for adults surviving child abuse. For more information visit ASCA’s website on www.asca.org.au
