Course Outline
It is not uncommon for people to have thoughts of suicide when things seem too difficult to cope
with. Suicide can affect
anyone, regardless of age, gender, occupation or living circumstances.
The workshop is about understanding suicide and the
associated risk factors. It enables
participants to identify and handle early signs of suicidal behaviors in others.

- Be able to identify early warning signs of suicide in
friends, family and colleagues
- Learn how to appropriately approach a person who may
be suicidal
- Feel empowered to help a person at risk
