Building Resilience In The Wake Of A National Disaster

In the wake of the most devastating bushfires in the history of Australia; the flooding caused by the worst wet season in 30 years; and the global financial crisis, our counsellors and chaplains are seeing first hand the effects on both employers and employees alike. Our research has shown that stress related counselling has increased by 54% (and rising) since December 2007.

Education and training in the areas of stress, resilience, mental health and change are therefore crucial in today’s business environment to ensure proactive steps are taken to maximise employee productivity whilst minimising risk.

The Mission of Converge International’s ‘Institute of Knowledge and Learning’ is to provide support and skills through education and training to help ‘transform people, business and communities’ within an ever-changing business environment.

As a result, we are pleased to offer our NEW half day Public Education and Training Programs calendar. These programs are aimed at providing your organisation with a cost effective option to invest in your people - to help build resilience, maximise productivity and minimise risk.

Given the scale of the recent National Disaster, we are also providing your organisation and staff with the opportunity to personally sponsor someone who has been affected by the crisis. Attending one of these programs will provide individuals with additional support and practical information to assist them to move forward in the most productive way.

We have included a sponsorship option on the attached registration form for this purpose.
