Course Outline

Assertiveness in the workplace is essential to the effective performance of teams and productivity. It enables everyone
to have their say or contribute to ideas in an equal environment. Assertive people are able to say what they mean, or ask
for what they want without feeling intimidated or offending people. The Assertiveness workshop is suitable for any person
wishing to develop their communication skills. Participants will learn techniques for becoming more assertive, potential
implications of being assertive, recognise varying response styles and how to practice the learned techniques.
