Building Self Esteem

Building and maintaining a healthy self-esteem is central to fostering successful relationships, working productively and achieving your goals in work and life.

Building Self Esteem is a two hour workshop designed to provide participants with the opportunity to understand the importance of achieving and maintaining a healthy level of self-esteem.

It helps participants to assess their current self-esteem levels, determine the factors that can lead to decreases in self-esteem, identify dysfunctional core beliefs and learn strategies for building self-esteem.

  • Understand what self-esteem is and how it develops
  • Develop an awareness of the importance of healthy self-esteem
  • Identify current self-esteem levels, sources of low self-esteem and areas for improvement
  • Recognise thinking traps and distorted cognitions which can lead to low self-esteem
  • Explore concepts such as core belief systems, using positive affirmations, cognitive strategies, negative self-talk and the self-fulfilling prophecy
  • Learn techniques for fostering healthy relationships and building healthy self-esteem
