Working Effectively With Clients

Dealing with the public is a challenge at the best of times, but when your performance and job security relies on your communication with strangers, the challenge is extreme.

Working Effectively with Clients is an intensive six hour workshop that provides an insight into dealing with people, identifying the important issues at hand and finding solutions.

Upon completion, participants will have an in-depth understanding of the principles of behaviourism, cognitive restructuring, the conflict process, managing anger and the art of negotiation.

  • Define the challenges involved in working with the public
  • Describe successful and unsuccessful approaches to dealing with the public
  • Identify a range of psychological principles that are proven to be helpful when dealing with the public
  • Learn how to rapidly assess and resolve the core concerns of a customer or client
  • Examine the concepts of cognitive restructuring using the ABCDE model and the principles of behaviourism (triggers and rewards)
  • Understand the process of conflict and aggression management
  • Practice the art of negotiation to achieve a win/win resolution
